If it weren't for Napoli you could argue that New York is the home of pizza, or at least "Pizza by the Slice." On a recent excursion to New York I was directed to Pizza Suprema near Madison Square Garden for a quick pizza lunch and it did not disappoint. Huge slices fresh out of the oven with great dough consistency and a healthy amount of cheese. The secret likely lies in the dough and the sauce.
While I can't say I have tried every pizza joint in Manhattan, from my limited personal experience on the matter, Pizza Suprema makes the top of my list for slice pizza in Manhattan.
