The Breslin

In an ever changing Manhattan restaurant scene it's difficult for a man of creature comforts and routine to find a groove, but I think The Breslin might be here to stay.

Located at The Ace Hotel in Midtown, the hip crowd that hangs out here demand a kind of Bourdain-esque menu. Words like confit, leg, shank, and stuffed adorn the menu. They have some great beer and wine on the menu and the bartenders are adept at all things cocktail.

Most importantly The Breslin was a creative bar without too much pretension and a friendly staff. If it's a gastropub it's definitely an upscale one, but not so much that you can't get comfortable for a meal and a few drinks.
